In the area of Activities and Sport, you are responsible for keeping the guests entertained. You organise athletic activities for guests such as bike tours, water aerobics or volleyball games. As an "Animator" or Entertainment Staff Member, you plan and present supporting shows on the hotel's stage.
As part of the Children's Entertainment Staff, you guarantee that parents will have a worry-free holiday. Playing games and having fun with the youngsters is the main goal of this job. It's not your responsibility to "babysit" children but rather to give kids a holiday experience they won't forget. There are no limitations set on your creativity - you plan and arrange activities which are fun for children. Trained nursery-school teachers and staff who love children are in demand.
You must be active and in good shape for this job, love sports and have a good sense of humour. Creative talents are especially a plus for members of the Children's Entertainment Staff.
If you are a person with a contagiously cheerful disposition who doesn't hold back in approaching people and who can motivate people to taking part in sports and games, then you've found the right occupational field.
Absolutely necessary in this field is a well-groomed outward appearance, very good foreign language skills and a talent for organisation and improvisation. Acting, dancing and singing skills are an added plus, but not necessarily a must.
As a Fitness Trainer, you introduce the guests to new kinds of sports while teaching them the basics. The sport activities offered will vary from hotel to hotel, of course. So if you are very athletic and are skilled in one or more types of sports, nothing stands in the way of your carrier as a hotel Fitness Trainer. Here you must also enjoy contact with people, have a well-groomed outward appearance and the ability to explain how to properly use sporting equipment.
