SCHÖNIS-Landhotel
The SCHÖNIS-Landhotel is located near the center of Bad Mitterndorf in the Styrian Salzkammergut and offers newly furnished rooms with shower / WC, hairdryer, flat screen TV with cable connection, safe and telephone. It also has Wi-Fi throughout the house, a la carte restaurant, garden cafe, sunbathing lawn, children's playground and covered parking
Our guests can relax in our newly designed wellness oasis with bio sauna, sauna, herbal steam bath and experience showers.
We start the day with a rich breakfast buffet with regional specialties and end it in the evening with culinary delights and theme buffets in the SCHÖNIS a la carte restaurant.
In summer central starting point for hikes and mountain tours
In winter, only 100m from the hotel is one of the most beautiful cross-country skiing networks in Austria. The free ski bus stops directly in front of the hotel and takes our guests in just a few minutes to the valley station of the Mitternsteinbahn - now nothing stands in the way of a wonderful and eventful vacation day for our guests. We are also happy to organize snowshoe hikes and horse-drawn sleigh rides.

Ski hut SCHÖNIALM
The "SCHÖNI-Alm" on the Tauplitz at 1500m above sea level radiates coziness with a rustic hut character. It is located directly on the magnificent downhill run of the Mitterstein cable car. It has this charm that you would expect from a hut, but has been skillfully combined with something modern. In the course of a perfect ski day, the stop here is almost mandatory
Genuine cordiality and good humor as well as culinary treats are the focus here
Culinary delights - with a focus on regional specialties such as cheese spaetzle, hearty soups and crisp salads, as well as homemade strudels - are prepared fresh daily.
As a special highlight we offer our guests a weekly fondue evening including music and transfer. The ski hut & event location is also accessible via the cleared Tauplitzalm alpine road with your own car or by bus. Already the ascent through the deeply snow-covered winter landscape to the wildly romantic SCHÖNI-Alm is an experience in itself
For sun-seekers there is a terrace including bar - with a magnificent panoramic view of the surrounding mountain scenery and the mighty Grimming
