Our corporate philosophy
With its unique architectural design, the Berghotel Malta exudes a special sense of coziness. The hotel was built in the late 1970s and underwent a complete renovation in 2010, commissioned by VERBUND and carried out by architect Ronacher.
In 2024, a staff quarters building was constructed, a new souvenir shop was built, and a wellness area was opened. Since 2025, our facilities have also included an alpine hut located about 500 meters from the hotel.
Surrounded by majestic peaks and situated right on the deep-blue Kölnbreinspeichersee, the Berghotel Malta offers guests the chance to enjoy nature in all its glory—pure relaxation and tranquility!
We treat our guests to fresh, locally sourced ingredients that deliver authentic flavor and exceptional quality.

VERBUND Tourismus GmbH is the operator of the tourist attraction, including the Berghotel Malta.
