Status of Compliance with the Requirements

To evaluate the requirements for the provision of information, we refer to compliance level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 of the W3C consortium.

The website is partially compliant with WCAG 2.2 level AA. The non-compliant aspects are listed below.

POINT 2: Homepage – Hero Slider (Pause/Play Button)In the future, users will be able to pause or resume the slider using a pause/play button.
POINT 3: Buttons with Icon and Textaria-hidden will be added to icons; aria-labels added to slider arrows.
POINT 4: Heading StructureThe semantic structure of headings will be adjusted consistently.
POINT 5: HTML Components (e.g., country selection, summer/winter switch)Some elements are currently not properly operable by keyboard or screen reader, as they are not implemented as interactive elements (e.g., buttons).
POINT 6: Closing OverlaysThe ability to close overlays using the ESC key will be implemented.
POINT 7: LinksLinks will be made visually clearer (e.g., through underlining).
POINT 8: Color ContrastWill be revised during the next relaunch.
POINT 9: Job Teaserstitle attributes will be correctly added to links, aria-hidden added to SVGs, stars given alt-texts, and icons equipped with aria-labels. Icons with text will be restructured into <ul> lists, and color contrast (especially for light blue text) will be adjusted.
POINT 10: Empty Alt TextsImage descriptions will be reviewed, and decorative images will be assigned correct empty alt attributes.
POINT 11: SVGsSVGs will be assigned role="img" and adjusted accordingly to be recognized as images by screen readers.

 

These listed incompatibilities (points 1 to 11) will be addressed as part of the next site facelift, but no later than the end of the transition period on June 28, 2030 (applies to existing products/services).

A user guide is available to facilitate access for all user groups.

The “For Employers” navigation section is not directed at end users but is exclusively reserved for corporate customers.
