Our business, the Grünegg Alm & Hochkönig Edelbrennerei, is located at 1,190 meters above sea level in the beautiful village of Dienten in the Hochkönig tourism region in the Salzburg region.

In the summer, we’re a popular destination for hikers, nature lovers, cyclists, and for guests and locals who enjoy fine dining and high-proof specialties. In the winter, we’re a gathering place for all toboggan enthusiasts, ski tourers, and winter hikers in the popular Hochkönig winter sports region.

After a wonderful hike, our guests enjoy the magnificent view of the Hochkönig massif. Afterward, they look forward to a cozy get-together in our rustic dining room. Of course, a fine brandy tasting at our Hochkönig Edelbrennerei demonstration distillery is a must. We also run our unique “Highking CHALET Grünegg” with great care and dedication.
