The Hotel GUT Trattlerhof is a leading, family-run 4-star superior hotel in Bad Kleinkirchheim with a high proportion of long-term staff and regular guests—it has received numerous awards and has been certified for its environmentally friendly management practices. There are numerous recreational activities available, such as the on-site riding stable, horse-drawn carriage rides, e-mobility (on-site Tesla and e-bike rentals) with numerous charging stations, and much more. In addition, the team and the Forstnig family, who run the hotel, manage a luxurious chalet village (70 beds) located approximately 450 meters away, as well as the mountain hut restaurant "Trattlers Einkehr" (120 seats).
The restaurant is part of the successful "GenussWirt" culinary initiative and has been awarded 83 points and one fork in the Fallstaff guide. The mountain hut restaurant has also been awarded 4.5 out of 5 "Slow Food snails."

The Hotel GUT Trattlerhof & Chalets looks back on 500 years of history. Trattler’s farmhands and the Forstnig family have been running the GUTshof for more than 140 years—with a special flair for hospitality and an ecological conscience that continually inspires new vacation ideas. The Hotel GUT Trattlerhof and the Trattler Farm Chalets are among the most renowned establishments in Bad Kleinkirchheim.
The hotel has been awarded the Austrian Ecolabel and the ECO-Label and is one of the coveted Change Maker Hotels. In 2026, the hotel once again received the coveted HolidayCheck Award, making it one of the 10 most popular accommodations in Carinthia. The Trattlerhof also received the 2025 Travelers' Choice Award from TripAdvisor.
With its 60 rooms and suites in the hotel and 14 luxury chalets, the GUTshof maintains a pleasant, intimate scale that allows for attentive, personalized service. The goal is to offer guests more than just “room and board”; rather, the aim is to send them home with lasting memories of unique “I feel GUT” moments.
