Why is the Leutascherhof an organic hotel?

In every aspect of our work at the hotel, it becomes clear time and again that the breathtaking natural and cultural landscape of Leutasch—with its residents and time-honored traditions—is our most precious asset.

Organic farming is the most sustainable way to manage our environment. Our goal is therefore to use only the best ingredients—for us, that means nothing less than 100% organic quality. And above all, we taste and feel every day just how good organic food is for us.

Eating and Drinking Consciously and Locally
We share a love for nature and a commitment to quality with our partners in the region. That is why we primarily use products from our region. We source veal, beef, pork, poultry, butter, yogurt, milk, ice cream, eggs, grains, potatoes, and much more directly from our local partners in and around Leutasch. Our kitchen adapts to seasonal availability and completely avoids air-freighted produce.
Environmental awareness
We use our resources responsibly and ask our guests to help us in this effort. Using eco-friendly cleaning products and green electricity generated from hydro and wind power is second nature to us.

In addition, we provide our guests with a free electric vehicle charging station. We actively promote eco-friendly travel and the regional bus system. In 2010, the Biohotel Leutascherhof was awarded both the Austrian and European Ecolabels—a visible sign of our commitment.

Our goal is to become independent of fossil fuels by 2026 and to reduce our energy consumption by 30% in the short term.
