Our corporate philosophy

The Wastlwirt is not a faceless, large-scale operation with 300 rooms and 20 levels of management. We are a long-established family business, now in its sixth generation, located right in the heart of St. Michael im Lungau. Our 4-star hotel has about 120 beds, and depending on the season, our team consists of between 18 and 22 colleagues—and everyone knows each other by name.

Our establishment is a blend of tradition and a breath of fresh air:
- Restaurant with a wood-fired oven – here we serve Austrian classics and seasonal delicacies.
- Wellness area – sauna, pool, relaxation area… for guests and, when we have time, for us too.
- Prime location – right in the heart of the ski resort, with hiking trails, a golf course, and bike paths right outside the door.

What matters to us? That we stick together, even when things get hectic at work. With us, you’ll get support from the team, direct access to the boss (who often pitches in himself), and if something isn’t right, we’ll address it right away.
