The Kothmühle is now a RelaxResort—the perfect setting for a cozy getaway in the countryside.

We no longer see ourselves as just a hotel, but as a resort. We feature a wellness area, a relaxation garden with a natural swimming pond, and a farm. Our grounds cover 8 hectares, including forest and farmland. The Mostviertel is a region of rolling hills, home to towering pear trees, stately farmsteads, and a wealth of local products. It’s the perfect setting to relax and recharge in the cradle of Austria.

The RelaxResort Kothmühle is a flagship establishment in the Mostviertel region and one of Austria’s leading conference hotels. The Kothmühle has been owned by the Scheiblauer family since 1866 and has been a 4-star hotel since 1995, featuring 90 rooms, 160 beds, and 8 conference rooms.

We currently have 49 employees, including 9 apprentices, on our team. We have our own staff housing available. All employees work a 5-day week, with hours ranging from 25 to 45 hours per week, as mutually agreed upon.

Affordable vacations for our team: After six months of service, our employees receive the Symposion Hotels “Silver” Card, which entitles them to one free night’s stay with half-board at any Symposion hotel in Austria. After three years of service, employees receive the “Gold Card,” which also covers the cost of a second night’s stay with half-board.
We organize great company trips (2025: 4 days in Spain, 2024: Krakow, 2019: Malta & Gozo, 2018: Bologna, Italy, 2017: Dublin, Ireland)
We’re celebrating our successes: a summer party at RelaxResort Kothmühle and a Christmas party at our sister hotel, Das Schloss an der Eisenstrasse
