We’d like to show you that DAS PFANDLER is an attractive employer and that we truly value our employees. Read on to learn what we offer and expect in order to remain an outstanding workplace. Below you’ll find job postings for our hotel.

Our corporate philosophy

- Respect
We work and communicate with one another as equals, maintaining a respectful tone even when we disagree. This is how we interact within our team and with our business partners. We show consideration and interest not only toward our guests but also toward one another within the team. We also expect guests to treat our employees with the same respect.
It is particularly important to us that we demonstrate mutual respect and understanding, regardless of nationality. To make it easier for us to embody this attitude and these values in our daily work, we follow the principle of speaking German with one another; that is, our local employees are encouraged to use less dialect, and our employees whose native language is not German make a visible effort to improve their German language skills.
Respect also reflects our commitment to preserving what has stood the test of time and complementing it with innovation. Through regular team meetings and workshops, where we involve our employees in discussions about current and future topics, we foster an entrepreneurial mindset.
Our respectful working relationship is also reflected in the way we all pitch in and get things done together. We aren’t just managers who delegate tasks; rather, we are right in the thick of day-to-day operations, actively contributing to our shared success every day. We insist on this respectful teamwork to ensure that we remain a secure workplace.

-Expertise
We are committed to providing high quality, and by that we mean not a stiff formality in our interactions with guests, but rather a charming, relaxed demeanor combined with in-depth knowledge. We value people not based on their level of education, but on their willingness to give their best. To that end, we support our employees’ wishes and goals by offering training and continuing education opportunities, as well as seminars and courses in sales, communication, leadership (regardless of title), and German language courses. To ensure that many benefit from this new knowledge, an internal mini-course is held afterward. In this way, learners become teachers, and genuine collaboration is put into practice.
We place particular importance on regular (not constant) team meetings within all departments and across departments, as well as workshops on current and future topics. We also offer personalized training and coaching to help employees gain greater expertise, confidence, and self-assurance.

Getting settled in is easy here because we provide checklists, and every employee feels responsible for welcoming new team members warmly and sharing their expertise. To ensure this is put into practice, every employee is informed that new hires are being welcomed, and each employee makes themselves available during the first few weeks to share useful information and tips on working together with the new team member.
This is the only way to foster a sense of togetherness, which is further strengthened by regular team gatherings.

-Warmth
We promise our guests: “Warmth inside, everything your heart desires outside.” To ensure this isn’t just a marketing slogan, we’ve worked with our employees to define what “warmth” means at Pfandler. For us, “warmth” refers to the way we interact with our guests and colleagues and how we conduct ourselves in the process. We aim to demonstrate genuine friendliness and, above all, exceptional helpfulness. We achieve this through a genuine interest in our fellow human beings. To ensure this special quality of warmth is not lost in our daily routines, we continually motivate ourselves to live by and exemplify it. The goal is to foster mutual understanding and cooperation. To ensure that all employees find joy and understanding in this, we have formulated very personal principles of warmth:
- I pay attention to how I feel.
- I pay attention to the way I speak.
- I look at the other person.
- I'm helpful.
- I'm interested.
- I understand that mistakes happen.
- I'm part of the team.
- I motivate myself and others with a smile.
- I have a responsibility too.
- I can put myself in other people's shoes.

These three core values—respect, competence, and warmth—shape our daily work and should be actively embraced by new employees as well, so that together we can foster a pleasant work environment.
