Our family-run businesses are located right in the heart of the Zauchensee skiing and hiking paradise, in the middle of the Salzburg Sports World. With our flagship property, the Zauchenseehof Family Hotel, we have increasingly established ourselves as specialists in family travel over the past few years.
Our corporate philosophy
The Walchhofer tourism group includes the 4-star family hotel Zauchenseehof, the 4-star Hotel Zauchensee Zentral, and the 3-star Hotel Sportwelt.
The hotels are run in a traditional, family-oriented manner by the families of brothers Rupert and Michael Walchhofer. It is precisely this family-oriented approach that characterizes the rapport and accessibility of the staff, who care for the hotel guests with great enthusiasm and warmth.
The skiing and hiking paradise of Zauchensee is located at an elevation of 1,350 meters, in the heart of the Salzburg region, and offers a wide range of activities for visitors—whether in summer or winter.

What we offer our employees
Our staff are housed at the hotel and, for the most part, at our team lodge in Zauchensee. All rooms have been renovated and are fully equipped with flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi.
