The duties of a chambermaid usually include a variety of tasks in the area of cleaning and maintenance of hotel rooms and public areas.

Job description & tasks: Chambermaid

• Cleaning of wellness and sanitary facilities, including saunas, steam baths, changing areas and toilets.
• Room cleaning on the floors, including vacuuming, making beds, wiping down surfaces and disposing of garbage.
• Conscientiously perform cleaning duties in accordance with hotel standards and policies.
• Checking and replenishing cleaning and maintenance products in rooms and public areas.
• Laundering linen, including bedding, towels and bathrobes, following specific care instructions.
• Ironing linen to ensure it is smooth and neatly presented.
• Observing safety and hygiene regulations during all cleaning and maintenance work.
• Communicating with the housekeeping team and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Recording and reporting any damage, defects or other concerns in the rooms and public areas.
