Description
We are looking for a dedicated Chef de Rang to look after our long-standing regular guests for the winter season starting around November 22, 2025.
We would be happy to introduce ourselves briefly to you:
About us: We are a hotel with 51 rooms, belonging to the 4-star category and have a restaurant open all day (hot meals from 12:00 to 21:30). We spoil our house guests with half board and a ski snack between 15:00 and 16:00. Half-board includes a rich breakfast buffet from 7:30 am to 10:00 am (also available à la carte), dinner consists of a 4-course menu with a choice of main course, plus a daily salad buffet and cheese from the buffet. 1 x per week farmer's buffet or delicacy buffet (always on Saturday where the big arrival day is), additionally per week 1x champagne breakfast, 1x dessert buffet, 1x strudel buffet, ....
Our philosophy: There's no such thing as impossible! or "All right - Zehnerkar!" We work together as a team, strengthen each other and stick together, especially at busy times. We have many loyal regular guests, many of whom have been coming to us for years and decades! We are very proud of this and want to build on our success. We are a family business at heart, with 26 employees. The hotel was built by our grandparents and is now in its 3rd generation of family ownership. Personal service is very important to us - away from mass processing!

Requirements
As Chef de Rang, you are the host, the soul of our establishment! You are responsible for the smooth running of your station and look after your guests. You live Austrian hospitality and your job is not just a job, but a vocation for you.
Responsibilities:
- Upscale food and beverage service
- Wine recommendation and wine presentation to the guest
- Beverage and stock management & ordering
- Set-up and supervision of various buffets/breakfast buffets
- daily mise en place and cleaning work
- Collection: Billing and payment processing (preparation of invoices, receipt of payments e.g. cash or by card as well as keeping the cash register/room bills)
Working time model: 6-day week from the beginning of January 2026 Independent use of language required according to CEFR level at least C1
Independent work in our hotel restaurant in the center of Obertauern - independent work at your own station with a Comis de Rang - food & beverage service - wine recommendation and wine service - several years of experience in this profession and upscale gastronomy
