We are looking for an experienced Technical Manager to join our Obertauern hotels as soon as possible. The role involves the following responsibilities:
• Overall responsibility for all maintenance processes at three Valamar hotels in Obertauern in accordance with company goals, KPIs, and quality standards• Developing and implementing a comprehensive maintenance plan for all three properties in compliance with legal requirements, as well as monitoring and optimizing maintenance costs• Organizing and coordinating workflows within the department; actively participating in the selection, onboarding, and training of employees• Close collaboration with hotel management and the Valamar Group’s central departments to implement company-wide standards and processes• Communication and cooperation with external service providers, suppliers, and contractual partners• Responsibility for compliance with all legal requirements in the area of technical building management

Requirements
Your Profile:• Completed technical training at the high school diploma level (e.g., electronics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or similar); additional technical qualifications are a plus• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience, including at least 2 years in a management role in maintenance—ideally in the hospitality industry• Solid IT skills and proficiency with standard business software• Excellent written and spoken German and English (C1/C2); knowledge of Croatian is a plus• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills• High degree of personal responsibility, entrepreneurial thinking, and a solution-oriented approach• Comprehensive understanding of technical hotel systems (e.g., electrical installations, heating, ventilation, pools, kitchen equipment, Wi-Fi, telecommunications, waste management, etc.)• Very good knowledge of relevant Austrian legal regulations• Class B driver’s license required
