Our lifestyle hotel “Das Unterrain,” which will open in the summer of 2025 (www.dasunterrain.com) is located right next to the “Alpenhof” on the outskirts of St. Jakob in the Defereggental, a picturesque village situated at 1,400 meters in one of East Tyrol’s most beautiful high valleys. Thanks to our ski area with guaranteed snow and a relaxed, high-quality winter and summer tourism experience, the Defereggental is known far beyond Austria’s borders. 

Our “Unterrain” is a 4-star inn and can accommodate up to 60 guests. The Unterrain looks back on a history spanning over 400 years and, despite its complete renovation, has retained its original character. Today, it is the oldest inn in the Defereggental Valley and welcomes its guests with modern comforts, rustic charm, and a living Alpine tradition. High-quality, personalized, and authentic service rounds out the hotel’s unique atmosphere. We are therefore looking for qualified and experienced team members who are motivated to take on a new—and undoubtedly very exciting—challenge.
