We’re a family-run 4*S nature hotel nestled in the Salzburg mountains, featuring 59 rooms and suites, a spacious wellness area, and our own organic farm.
Our cuisine is rooted in local traditions yet open to the world: We value the traditional art of cooking, enjoy putting a new spin on familiar dishes, and place great importance on honest, high-quality ingredients.
For this, we’re looking for you as a
CHEF DE GARDE-MANGER (m/f/d)
Here, you’ll know exactly where most of our ingredients come from.
Valuable products come directly to our kitchen from our own organic farm. The milk from our Pinzgau cows is used to make various types of cheese, our own beef is processed, and our herb garden is home to around 4,000 plants and about 80 different varieties of herbs.
These are used to create, among other things, herb salts, syrups, and smoking blends—and offer plenty of opportunities to work creatively.
Your Responsibilities
As Chef de Garde-Manger, you’ll be responsible for the entire cold kitchen section and, together with our kitchen team, will ensure that our guests enjoy high-quality dishes every day.
Your responsibilities include:
- Independently managing and organizing your station
- Preparing and attractively presenting appetizers, salads, and cold dishes
- Mise en place and preparation for the daily service
- creatively incorporating our farm-fresh and regional products
- Contributing to the development of new dishes
- Careful and economical handling of high-quality ingredients
- Adherence to our quality and hygiene standards
- Close and collegial collaboration with the entire kitchen team
Requirements
What You Bring to the Table
You have completed your training as a chef and have several years of experience in the upscale hotel or restaurant industry, ideally in the garde manger position.
You work independently, neatly, and in an organized manner, and you maintain a clear overview even when things get hectic.
You’re open to feedback and constructive criticism, think in terms of solutions, and enjoy contributing your own ideas.
And above all: You take joy in your profession, in fine craftsmanship, and in food where you can taste the origin and quality.
