Description
Your workplace is located in one of the most beautiful parts of the country, offering a stunning panoramic view of the Danube and the Alpine foothills, at the entrance to the Wachau region. It is situated halfway between Vienna and Linz. The Hotel Schachner in the Wachau-Nibelungengau region is a family-run 4-star hotel with a restaurant (14 points in Gault Millau – 2 toques). Together with our staff, we take care of our hotel and restaurant guests. The focus is always on the hospitality and warmth that our staff convey. Your responsibilities • Under the supervision of the head chef, pamper our guests with the highest quality cuisine in terms of both taste and culinary expertise • Assist in other stations during peak hours • Order and independently prepare ingredients + prepare dishes (à la carte, seminars) • Participating in daily menu planning meetings • Careful handling of equipment and facilities • Adherence to HACCP and safety regulations • Monitoring and maintaining quality standards • Working independently, productively, and with a focus on goals and profitability • Training apprentices • Inventory control • You will foster communication between the service and kitchen teams, as we are ONE team and not separate units.
Requirements
• Completed vocational training as a chef • Passion for your profession • A thorough, clean, precise, and results-oriented approach to work • Creative ideas and a willingness to contribute to your work environment • Ability to work well in a team and foster a positive work atmosphere • Solid professional expertise • Commitment to hygiene • Willingness to learn • Enthusiasm for making guests happy and satisfied • Good command of German • A well-groomed appearance and excellent manners
