Description
Your workplace is located in one of the most beautiful parts of the country, with a fantastic panoramic view of the Danube and the Alpine foothills, at the entrance to the Wachau region. Halfway between Vienna and Linz. The Hotel Schachner in Wachau-Nibelungengau is a family-run 4-star hotel with a restaurant (14 points in Gault Millau – 2 toques). Together with our employees, we take care of our hotel and restaurant guests. The focus is always on hospitality and cordiality, which our employees convey. Your tasks • Under the direction of the head chef, spoil our guests with the best quality food in terms of taste and expertise • Assist in other positions during rush hour • Ordering and independent processing of products + writing the menus (à la carte, seminar) • Participate in daily menu discussions • Careful handling of work equipment and furnishings • Compliance with HACCP and safety regulations • Monitoring and compliance with quality standards • Independent, productive, goal- and profit-oriented work • Training of apprentices • Goods control • You promote communication between service and kitchen, as this is ONE team and not a single team.
Requirements
• Completed vocational training as a chef • Passion for your vocation • A thorough, clean, accurate, and results-oriented approach to work • Creative ideas and a willingness to contribute to your work environment • Ability to work in a team and ensure a good working atmosphere • Sound technical knowledge • Awareness of hygiene • Willingness to learn • Enthusiasm for happy and satisfied guests • Good language skills in German • A well-groomed appearance and very good manners
