Description
We are looking for motivated individuals to join our service team for the upcoming summer season.
Together with your team, you’ll ensure that our all-inclusive guests are well taken care of throughout the day—from the breakfast buffet to our lunch snack buffet and the 5-course dinner menu. You enjoy working with a wide variety of guests, including many families with children. At our family hotel, we place great importance on ensuring that our little guests are completely satisfied.
As a Commis de Rang, you’ll support our service team in all areas of daily service operations. During busy times, you stay calm and keep everything under control. Just like us, you value teamwork and respectful collaboration—even across departmental boundaries. We’d love for you to become a permanent part of our team for many seasons to come. (:
Requirements
WHAT WE ENTRUST TO YOU:
- Serving the food
- Informing guests about ingredients, preparation, and potential allergens—if requested
- Attending daily briefings before the start of your shift (menu changes, guest preferences, etc.)
- Preparing, restocking, maintaining, and clearing the buffets (breakfast, midday snack, dinner)
- Managing and restocking the beverage stations as part of our all-inclusive concept
- Clearing tables, setting them, and preparing them for the next service
- Mise-en-place tasks (e.g., polishing glasses and cutlery, folding napkins)
- Cleaning the restaurant and buffet areas according to our hygiene and cleanliness standards (including sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping)
- Friendly, attentive guest interaction—especially when dealing with families and children
HOW TO IMPRESS US
- You have a friendly and courteous demeanor
- You enjoy interacting with people
- You have the ability to accurately understand and fulfill guests’ requests
- You are able to handle our guests’ complaints and concerns professionally and calmly
- You are a team player but also capable of completing tasks independently and on your own initiative
- It is important to you that your colleagues can rely on you
- You have the physical stamina and endurance required for service work
- You have a strong awareness of hygiene and perform cleaning tasks accurately and carefully
- You have very good German or English language skills
