Description
Do you love Austrian pastries and have a knack for classic desserts? Then you’ve come to the right place!
For our ski lodge in Obertauern, we’re looking for a dedicated pastry chef (m/f/d) who will bring passion and creativity to our homemade desserts. You’ll focus especially on fresh strudel, homemade cakes, and our popular Kaiserschmarrn.
Tasks
Your Responsibilities
Preparing our homemade desserts and pastries
Focus on strudel, cakes, Kaiserschmarrn, and Austrian classics
Preparing doughs, fillings, and various desserts
Preparing and organizing the daily mise en place
Ensuring the desserts are fresh and attractively presented
Ensuring consistently high quality and authentic flavor
Creative development of our dessert menu
Compliance with hygiene and HACCP guidelines
Careful handling of food and work materials
Supporting the kitchen team during daily operations at the lodge
Requirements
What You Bring to the Table
Experience preparing desserts and Austrian pastries
A passion for strudel, cakes, and Kaiserschmarrn
Ideally, training as a chef or pastry chef, or equivalent professional experience
An independent and organized work style
A commitment to quality and attention to detail
Enjoyment of working in a lively ski lodge
Team spirit, reliability, and the ability to handle pressure
Willingness to work weekends and holidays
Language skills
German B1 (Intermediate)
Work permit
Must have a work permit (or be an EU citizen)

Employment & Salary
2000 € net / month
This position offers a minimum base salary in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement; we are willing to pay above the collective bargaining agreement rate depending on the candidate's qualifications.
