Description
We are looking for a sous chef who shares our philosophy—an honest, creative, and cheerful person for whom cooking is a passion, and who brings a talent for organization, a meticulous approach to work, and a strong sense of creativity. In the afternoons, we offer a small snack menu, as well as cakes and desserts. In the evenings, our guests enjoy a 5-course menu. No à la carte; only half-board. Our hotel restaurant seats 90 guests. Inspired by nature and tradition. Regional cuisine, given a modern twist, should be presented on the plate with love and flair, delighting our guests. Employment from May through mid-January (9–10 months).
Requirements
- Passion for cooking and a love for the profession - Completed vocational training as a chef - At least 3 years of professional experience in an upscale, modern hotel or restaurant kitchen - Leadership skills and the ability to work as part of a 5-person kitchen team - Thorough knowledge of internal kitchen operations in a hotel setting - Ordering and inventory management - Loyalty to the establishment - Good and professional manners - Sense of responsibility and ability to work independently - Creativity - Flexibility and resilience - Reliability - HACCP - Menu planning - Knowledge of food intolerances - Respectful handling of food
