Primary location: Velden am Wörthersee | occasional assignments in Lech am Arlberg
Wrann Hotels GmbH is a family-run company with three renowned hotels in two of Austria’s most beautiful tourist regions: the Seehotel Europa and the Hotel Post in Velden am Wörthersee, as well as the Hotel Bergkristall in Oberlech am Arlberg.
To further develop our human resources department, we are seeking a dedicated, organized, and highly communicative individual who will be responsible for all employee management at our properties and serve as the central point of contact for management, executives, and staff.
In this multifaceted key position, you will be responsible for all operational and strategic HR matters at our three hotels.
Recruiting and Talent Acquisition
- Independently managing the entire recruiting process—from identifying staffing needs to hiring—in consultation with hotel management
- Drafting, publishing, and continuously optimizing job postings
- Actively searching for and directly approaching suitable candidates
- Reviewing and pre-selecting incoming applications
- Coordinating and conducting job interviews
- Drafting job offers, employment contracts, and onboarding documents
- Collaboration with employment agencies, schools, tourism colleges, and recruiting platforms
- Further development of our employer branding and employer positioning
- Planning and implementing recruitment campaigns and HR marketing initiatives
Onboarding and offboarding
- Planning, coordinating, and conducting a professional onboarding process
- Preparation of all onboarding documents and organizational processes
- Ensuring a structured start for new employees
- Providing personal support to new team members during the onboarding phase
- Regular presence at all hotels (Hotel Bergkristall in Oberlech, particularly at the start of the season and possibly at the end of the season)
- Organizing and conducting onboarding and offboarding processes in Velden and Lech
- Conducting feedback, probationary period, and exit interviews
- Coordinating returns, resignations, references, and final formalities
- Analysis of reasons for resignation and development of appropriate measures to retain employees
Human Resources Administration
- Management of employment contracts, contract amendments, supplementary agreements, and confirmations
- Maintaining and managing all HR master data and digital personnel files
- Management of new hires, terminations, and internal transfers
- Preparation and verification of all payroll-related data
- Close collaboration with the payroll department
- Monitoring of working hours, vacation, time off in lieu, sick leave, and absences
- Support with duty roster and staffing needs planning
- Management of seasonal contracts, fixed-term contracts, and re-hires
- Preparation of employment references and employer certifications
- Organization and documentation of occupational health examinations and mandatory training
- Management of employee housing and related organizational processes
- Support with regulatory filings and the employment of international employees
- Coordination of work permits, visas, and residency documents in cooperation with government agencies
Employee support and professional development
- Central point of contact for all employees and managers regarding HR-related matters
- Confidential counseling on personal, organizational, and labor law matters
- Facilitation and moderation of performance reviews
- Supporting managers in resolving conflicts, addressing performance issues, and making personnel decisions
- Development and implementation of measures to promote employee retention and satisfaction
- Planning and organizing training, continuing education, and development programs
- Establishing structured performance reviews, feedback processes, and development opportunities
- Organizing employee events, team-building activities, and internal communication initiatives
Strategic HR Management
- Further development and professionalization of all HR processes within Wrann Hotels GmbH
- Development and implementation of a company-wide HR strategy
- Advising management on all strategic HR issues
- Development and analysis of relevant HR metrics
- Optimizing existing processes and implementing digital HR solutions
- Further development of benefits, compensation models, and employee offerings
- Monitoring current developments in the labor market and the hospitality industry
Labor law and compliance
- Ensuring compliance with all labor law and collective bargaining agreement provisions
- Ongoing monitoring of legal changes and their implementation within the company
Ensuring proper data protection in human resources
Requirements
- Completed vocational training or a degree with a focus on human resources management, business, law, psychology, or a comparable field
- Several years of professional experience in human resources management in the hotel or restaurant industry
- In-depth knowledge of Austrian labor law and the collective bargaining agreement for the hotel and hospitality industry
- Experience in recruiting and supporting international employees
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills
- A structured, independent, and solution-oriented approach to work
- Strong communication skills, empathy, and discretion
- Confident, professional demeanor when interacting with employees, managers, government agencies, and external partners
- Enjoyment of working with people and actively shaping a positive corporate culture
- Willingness to work regular, predictable shifts in Oberlech, especially at the beginning and end of the season
- Very good command of German and English
- Proficiency with MS Office and digital HR systems
- A Class B driver’s license is a plus
