Description

We are a family-run 4-star hotel with 33 rooms in the heart of Obertauern—with a clear focus on quality, personalized hospitality, and a strong team.

Our goal is to build on this position over the long term. During the 2026/27 winter season, you’ll receive comprehensive training from our long-time restaurant manager, Radoslaw Kuc, who—after more than 12 successful years at Hotel Alpina—will take over operational management of our sister property, Alpina Beds & Boots.

We are therefore looking for someone with potential for growth who is ready to take on responsibility, learn our Alpina service philosophy, and grow alongside our team over the long term.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Operational management of the restaurant and service areas

• Leading and developing the service team

 • Active guest care and hospitality

• Wine and beverage service as part of our half-board program

• Close collaboration with the kitchen and front desk

• Ensuring our service and quality standards

You’ll work in a manageable, well-structured environment with short decision-making chains, clear processes, and plenty of personal guest interaction.

Requirements

Your Responsibilities

• Operational management of the restaurant and service areas

• Leading, motivating, and developing the service team

• Actively attending to and advising our guests during breakfast and dinner service

• Ensuring professional and seamless service operations

• Close collaboration with the kitchen, front desk, and management

• Responsibility for service quality, guest satisfaction, and team organization

• Assisting with the training of new employees

• Contributing to the further development of our service and beverage concepts

Your Profile

• Several years of experience in restaurant service, ideally in a leadership role

• Experience as a chef de rang, head waiter, restaurant manager, or in a comparable role is a plus

• Strong hospitality skills and a passion for interacting with guests

• A structured, independent, and solution-oriented approach to work

• Leadership skills and organizational talent

• Strong service orientation and commitment to quality

• A polished and professional demeanor

• Very good German skills and good English skills

• Knowledge of wine and beverages is a plus

• Willingness to take on leadership responsibilities and advance to a service management role

• Interest in a long-term career with the Alpina Hospitality Group

• Openness to actively uphold and further develop the values, service culture, and hospitality ethos of the Hotel Alpina

We are not looking for a mere service staff member, but rather a person with hospitality skills and potential for growth. You will work closely with our executive chef, our head receptionist, and the management team, and will gradually grow into a leadership role.

Salary

For this position, we offer—depending on qualifications and experience—a net salary starting at approximately €2,600 per month (6 days / 48 hours), with a willingness to pay significantly more for experienced candidates.
