Receptionist (m/f/d)

all year round

Österreich, Oberösterreich

Description

More than just an Assistant Reception Manager. A driving force behind hospitality and team spirit.

Our hotels on Lake Traunsee are places where people feel welcome—not by chance, but because behind every successful stay is a dedicated team. This is exactly where you come in.

Do you enjoy taking on responsibility, creating structure, and know how to motivate people? Are you a host at heart, able to make the right decisions even in challenging situations, and do you enjoy working with your team to create unforgettable guest experiences? If so, we look forward to getting to know you.

Your role with us:

As Assistant Reception Manager, you’ll serve as the right-hand person to the Reception Manager and ensure that everything runs smoothly in our day-to-day operations. You’ll assist with leading and developing the team, coordinate processes, and keep a close eye on quality, service, and organization alike. In this role, you’re not only the point of contact for our guests but also for your team—always ready to listen, with a solution-oriented mindset and a commitment to getting a little better every day. In this way, you actively foster an atmosphere where guests feel welcome and employees feel valued.

What you'll be doing with us:

  • Assist the reception manager with all operational and administrative matters and serve as an independent substitute in the event of the manager's absence.
  • Ensuring and further developing quality standards in accordance with hotel classification guidelines and the philosophy of Gröller Hospitality properties.
  • Professional and warm hospitality: welcome, advice, personalized tours of the property, and assistance throughout your stay.
  • Close collaboration with the reservations department, including recommending appropriate room categories, sustainable room allocation, and optimizing hotel occupancy.
  • Provide guests with up-to-date information on regional activities and events, and ensure that guest information materials are kept current.
  • On-Site Sales: Recommendations for restaurants, beauty and spa services, and the convenience store.
  • A hub for communication between all departments—you’ll work with management to ensure that everything runs smoothly throughout the hotel.
  • Coordinate with your supervisor, as well as the marketing and revenue management teams, to plan and implement sales promotion initiatives.
  • Maintenance and quality control of guest data, invoicing, and accurate billing.
  • Participation in and contribution to training sessions on safety-related topics (fire alarm systems, elevator systems, etc.).
  • Support for projects, innovations, and digitalization initiatives, especially during the off-season.
  • Coaching and supporting the reception team in their day-to-day operations and with technical questions.

What you bring to the table:

  • 2–3 years of professional experience working at the front desk, ideally in the upscale hospitality industry; some leadership experience is a plus.
  • An open-minded, confident individual with a well-groomed appearance and a strong commitment to customer service.
  • Strong organizational skills, structured time management, and a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent command of German and English; knowledge of other foreign languages is a plus.
  • An eye for detail, high standards of quality, and a good understanding of the needs of the luxury hotel industry.

What to Expect:

  • Full board provided at the workplace on your workdays.
  • Accommodations at our employee hotel, which features a terrace and parking.
  • Numerous opportunities for professional and personal development.
  • Share of Tips
  • Providing You with High-Quality Work Clothing
  • Perfect recreational activities in the region
  • Work in a pleasant, supportive environment where there's plenty of fun to be had.
  • Attractive employee benefits and year-round employment.

We look forward to getting to know you and working together to create unforgettable guest experiences!
