We are the Perbersdorfer Heuriger & Hotel in 3364 Neuhofen an der Ybbs, Lower Austria—Mostviertel—a family-run business that combines warmth and reliability. Our establishment is located a little away from the hustle and bustle, surrounded by greenery—a place where you’ll be happy to arrive and feel right at home.

We combine cozy tavern culture with a small 3-star hotel (30 beds) and offer our guests a warm taste of the Mostviertel—whether at breakfast, à la carte, or during one of our many family celebrations.

Long-term employment

• We are specifically not looking for short-term seasonal staff.
• The goal is a permanent position for 2–5 years or longer.

2. Location & Accessibility

• Location: Neuhofen an der Ybbs (near Amstetten).
• Public transportation is limited, so a car is almost essential, or you’ll need to use an affordable public ride-sharing service 
• Nearest train station: Ulmerfeld-Hausmening, about 5 minutes away by car, or Amstetten, 15 minutes away
• From there, it’s about 50 minutes to Vienna.

3. Work Environment

• Traditional Austrian inn & hotel; not a half-board establishment.
• Focus: À la carte service, regional cuisine, family-run business—we’re all on a first-name basis
• Very busy on weekends, with many family celebrations 
• We have a lot of à la carte business—you should be well-versed in this area 
• On weekdays, we mainly start work between 3:00 and 4:00 p.m.; on Saturdays and Sundays, we work from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. until closing 
• We don’t usually have split shifts,

5. Housing

• Single room—the bathroom and kitchen are shared with one other person; the apartment has a terrace
• Unfortunately, pets are not allowed; we’re renting the apartment, and the landlord has prohibited them
• Meals are included during shifts 

6. German Language Skills

• B1–B2-level German proficiency is required for service duties

8. Team & Company Size

• We are a team of about 20–25 people; we have more staff in the summer
• We also work with temporary staff from the local area
• There are 2 full-time employees in the service department 

9. Seasonal Schedule

• We’re open year-round; we’re closed starting December 23 for Christmas—at least through the holidays 
• We are closed Monday through Friday during Easter
• In February, we’re closed for one week
• In August, we’re closed for two weeks
• Throughout the year, we are closed on 5 weekends (Saturday and Sunday)

10. Compensation

• Net pay is €1,900—paid 14 times a year, plus vacation pay and a Christmas bonus—as required by Austrian law—5 days a week—40 hours per week 
• Tips are pooled and divided up every day—a small portion goes to the kitchen, and the rest is divided based on the number of hours worked. 

11. Trial Days

• We’d love to invite you for a trial weekend to see if you get along well with the team and if the team gets along well with you
• You’ll be compensated for this, of course, and we’re happy to pay you right away. 

That’s why we’d like to emphasize once again that we’re not looking for a short-term solution, but rather a long-term position for at least 2–5 years or longer.
