As a sommelier, you’ll be the face of the hotel—always close to our guests and the first point of contact for questions about wine or beverage selections. Working closely with the restaurant manager, you’ll rise to every challenge, celebrate successes together, and make a significant contribution to the company’s success.
Tasks
Your Responsibilities
Welcoming our guests and providing professional guest service of the highest standard; assisting and advising guests; independently managing a service station in the half-board area and during lunch in the à la carte area; pouring and serving wine and beverages; coordinating service operations within your area of responsibility; Guiding and supporting the commis de rang; ensuring quality, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction; serving as a role model for employees and trainees
Requirements
Your Qualifications
A completed, specialized training program in the restaurant industry or the hospitality industry; several years of professional experience in a comparable position in the upscale hospitality sector; extensive expertise in wine and beverages; very good command of German and English; a well-groomed, confident, and friendly demeanor; sommelier training, strong communication and organizational skills, a positive demeanor and ability to work well with others, and a genuine enjoyment of working with people
