Description

In our kitchen at the Böglerhof, we prioritize quality, excellent ingredients, and a collaborative environment you can count on. As a Sous Chef (m/f/d), you’ll provide essential support to our Head Chef, take on responsibilities in our daily operations, and actively work alongside your team in the kitchen.

Start date: October 15 or December 1—full-time, year-round position.

Your responsibilities with us:

  • You’ll assist the head chef in organizing and leading the kitchen team and fill in for him when he’s away.
  • You’ll actively participate in daily kitchen operations and work with the team to ensure consistently high quality.
  • You’ll contribute your skills, experience, and commitment to quality to the preparation and presentation of our dishes.
  • You’ll coordinate workflows and ensure that everything runs smoothly, even during busy periods.
  • You’ll provide professional support to our employees and trainees and will be happy to share your knowledge.
  • Appreciative, respectful, and clear communication within the team is second nature to you.
  • Handling high-quality ingredients with care and responsibility is second nature to you.
  • You ensure consistent adherence to our quality, hygiene, and safety standards.
  • Together with the kitchen, service staff, and other departments, you contribute to a professional and pleasant work environment.

Requirements

  • Completed training as a chef and several years of professional experience
  • Ideally, experience as a sous chef or in a comparable position in the upscale hotel or restaurant industry
  • A passion for your profession and a love of high-quality ingredients
  • High standards for quality, taste, and presentation
  • Strong organizational skills and a structured, independent work style
  • The ability to take on responsibility and maintain a clear overview even in hectic situations
  • Team spirit, reliability, and a respectful and supportive approach toward one another
  • A passion for supporting and developing colleagues and junior staff
  • Good German language skills to ensure smooth communication within the team
