As Sous Chef, you’ll support the Executive Chef in leading the kitchen team and ensure the quality and consistency of our dishes. You’ll work with high-quality, regional ingredients, take on responsibility in the kitchen, and do so with joy—not out of obligation.

Requirements

We are looking for an experienced sous chef (m/f/d) for the 2026/27 winter season

who will delight our guests with fine Austrian cuisine and assist the head chef in managing the kitchen staff.

 

Your Profile

  • A trained chef with several years of professional experience (at least 2–3 years in a high-end kitchen, ideally as a sous chef)
  • In-depth knowledge of Austrian cuisine and fine dining techniques
  • Confidence in preparing complex dishes and managing menu sequences
  • Experience supporting kitchen teams and mentoring commis chefs
  • Passion for regional, high-quality ingredients
  • Reliability, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work well with others

 

Your Responsibilities

  • Assisting the head chef in managing and motivating the kitchen team
  • Preparing and ensuring the quality of our 3-course set menu and à la carte offerings
  • Guiding and training commis chefs and junior chefs
  • Collaborating on menu planning and food cost analysis
  • Monitoring inventory levels and assisting with purchasing
  • Ensuring the quality and consistency of all dishes
  • Collaborating with management and the head chef on cost control
