Description
A host with personality and a knack for excellent service.
We’re looking for you starting September 24, 2026, or as agreed.
As a Chef de Rang, you’ll be a key point of contact for our guests, ensuring they feel completely at home with us through your attentiveness, warmth, and expertise.
Whether at breakfast, during the day, or during evening service—you’ll personally attend to your guests, keep track of everything, and help turn good service into true VALARA hospitality.
Your responsibilities:
- You’ll independently manage a service station during breakfast and dinner service.
- You’ll greet, seat, and attend to our guests personally, attentively, and professionally.
- At breakfast, you’ll work with your team to ensure a great start to the day.
- In the evening, you’ll advise our guests on food, wine, and beverages and guide them through the menu.
- You’ll serve food and drinks expertly and with genuine warmth.
- You are familiar with our food, wine, and beverage menus and can provide expert advice to our guests.
- Depending on your schedule, you’ll work alongside a commis de rang, guide him or her, and gladly share your knowledge.
- You prepare your mise-en-place independently and meticulously.
- You assist with setting up and managing our buffets.
- You work closely with the kitchen, bar, and your colleagues in service.
- You handle special requests and feedback from our guests in a professional and solution-oriented manner.
- You’ll also assist at our hotel bar as needed.
- Together with the team, you ensure order, cleanliness, and compliance with our hygiene and HACCP standards.
Service can have personality.
We want our guests to be served professionally—but never feel that our service is scripted.
That’s why we’re looking for people who know their craft and bring their own personality to the table.
Whether it’s the first cup of coffee in the morning or the last glass of wine in the evening: You play a key role in how our guests experience VALARA.
If you’re a host at heart, we look forward to getting to know you.
We look forward to receiving your application addressed to the Krajnc family at hotel@valara.at, including your resume, photo, and references.
