Do you enjoy being around people, like to organize things, and want to learn a trade where no two days are exactly the same?

Then the HGA apprenticeship at VALARA might be the right fit for you. You’ll learn what goes into running a well-organized hotel—from the initial inquiry through reservation and check-in to providing personalized service to our guests.

Along the way, you’ll gain insights into different departments and learn, step by step, to take on responsibility independently.

What to expect:

• A 3-year apprenticeship with block instruction
• You’ll get to know the different departments of our hotel and gain a well-rounded insight into the entire hotel operation.
• Front Desk: You’ll learn everything about reservations, special offers, guest services, check-in and check-out, billing, and the organizational processes at the front desk.
• Service & F&B: You’ll assist with restaurant and breakfast service and gain insight into the operations as well as the design of our food and beverage offerings.
• Kitchen: You’ll learn about key monitoring and organizational tasks and gain insights into receiving goods, food inspection, and inventory management.
• Housekeeping: You’ll gain insight into floor operations, conduct room and floor inspections, and learn about our quality and cleanliness standards.
• You’ll learn how to interact with our guests in a personal and professional manner.
• You’ll be actively involved from the very beginning and will gradually take on more responsibility.
• Our team will guide you throughout your apprenticeship, share their knowledge with you, and support your development.
• We’ll cover your dormitory costs during your apprenticeship.
