Österreich, Steiermark
Description
Your role is no small matter. And neither are you to us.
Families spend their days off at Hochreiter Forest Park. On busy days in our kitchen, that means lots of guests, lots of orders, and every station has to run smoothly. For our sides station, we’re looking for someone who can take charge of their area independently and ensure that preparation, quality, and timing are all on point.
What You Bring to the Table
You don’t necessarily need formal culinary training. We welcome people from other fields. What’s important is that you enjoy working in the kitchen, are reliable and meticulous, and can stay focused even when things get really busy. We’ll show you our procedures. Over time, you’ll be expected to manage your station independently.
Start Date: April 2027
The collective bargaining agreement starts at 2,165 euros here. Depending on your qualifications, your full-time salary will be significantly higher than that.
Tasks
• You prepare and cook side dishes and the meals assigned to your section.
• You organize your workstation independently.
• You keep track of what needs to be prepared and replenished.
• You ensure consistent quality even when working with large quantities.
• You ensure hygiene and clean work processes.
• You coordinate with other stations to ensure everything is ready on time.
In short: You know your area of responsibility and take ownership of it.
Requirements
For our new restaurant, which seats about 300 people and is located in our forest park—which attracts approximately 100,000 visitors per season—we are looking for a pastry chef to help us ensure our guests are satisfied. Families with children are our target audience!

What we offer
With us, you’re not just a number. Family comes first—whether your child is sick, it’s your mom’s birthday, or you have something special planned: We’ll find a solution.
Want to grow professionally? We’d love that. Maybe you’re coming from a completely different field and want to get started in the restaurant industry? Or do you already have a specific training program in mind? Then let’s talk about how we can support your growth here at Waldpark.
And yes: Things can get pretty hectic here. But if you take a moment to look out into the forest, take a deep breath, and take in nature, the stress often melts away faster than you can say “fries.”
Here’s what else you can expect:
- probably the most beautiful workplace far and wide
- day shifts only—no evening shifts
- Year-round position
- 5-day workweek
- Some on-site housing available
- High-quality à la carte meals for employees
- Unlimited coffee and beverages included
- Individual training and development opportunities
The Teichalm is beautiful, but it’s not right in the middle of town. A driver’s license and your own transportation are therefore advantageous.
