We—the Seitenalm—are a colorful, warm-hearted, and a little crazy bunch who place great value on teamwork, communication as equals, and genuine camaraderie. We’re looking for a passionate professional to join our kitchen team—someone who not only excels at the stove but also takes on leadership responsibilities and keeps things running smoothly when our head chef is away!

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • You will be independently responsible for managing your own station and ensuring the highest quality in food preparation for our approximately 200 guests.
  • When the head chef is away, you are the main point of contact for the entire kitchen team, manage operations, and keep everything under control.
  • You will help design the menu, place orders, and monitor compliance with hygiene and HACCP standards.
  • You'll train new team members, foster a positive work environment, and step in wherever help is needed.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

To join our team, you must have the following qualifications:

  • Completion of vocational training as a cook is required.
  • Several years of experience in the restaurant and hospitality industry, ideally in a leadership role (chef de partie or sous chef).
  • Organizational skills, assertiveness, and the ability to lead a team and keep it motivated even during stressful times.
  • A strong commitment to freshness, hygiene, and attractive presentation.
  • Very good German language skills (B1) to ensure smooth communication within the team and with other departments.

HERE'S WHAT WE OFFER YOU

➡️A key role in a warm, family-run business where your ideas and experience really matter.

➡️On-site lodging, employee parking, and free Wi-Fi are available as needed.

➡️Performance-based compensation, including bonuses (14 months' salary).

➡️Free meals—from breakfast to dinner, even on your days off.

➡️Leisure & Action — Want to play tennis or work out in our fitness center? Take advantage of our facilities.

➡️Team Events — Group activities such as happy hours, pizza nights, or surprise events.

➡️Professional Development - Training/Workshops for your personal and professional growth.

➡️Employee discounts for you or your family.

➡️Climate Ticket available to borrow for your days off—free use of public transportation throughout Salzburg.

➡️Childcare for local employees (emergencies, school breaks, when a grandparent is sick).

Does that sound like you?

Then we look forward to getting to know you! Just send us a message or give us a call—we're curious to hear from you!
