To strengthen our team we are looking for a reliable Head chef (m/f/d) who is used to working as a role model and who also works actively. You will be responsible for the organization (creation of menus, ordering & goods management, duty scheduling, monitoring hygiene) and the orderly running of the kitchen. Creative ideas for menus and buffets are not foreign to you, and at the same time you know about the core of the gastronomic experience. You have a sound basic understanding of economic purchasing and use of goods and are also confident in costing.
Your tasks:
- Allocation of employees
- Usual activities of a chef to organize the smooth running of the kitchen
- Current system: Appetizer, salad, soup & dessert buffet, 2 or 3 main courses to choose from depending on the season, served from the kitchen
- Contribution of ideas in the creation of the menus
- Active participation in cooking and producing the menus
- Ordering and purchasing goods
- General kitchen control with the team: (washing up, storage, cold stores, etc.) and control of hygiene standards
- Organizing and monitoring the buffets
- Compliance with and monitoring of HACCP regulations
- Conscientious handling of food required
- Conscientious management and monitoring of temperature and cleaning lists
Requirements
- Completed training as a cook
- several years of experience in the gastronomy or hotel industry
- Team player
- Knowledge of merchandise management and food costing
- Management experience
- Creativity in serving and passion for the product
- ability to work independently and in a structured manner
- Team spirit and good communication skills
- Enjoy contributing ideas
- Language skills
