Technical requirements
- Experience in service (café/catering) is an advantage, motivated career changers welcome
- Confident cash collection: collecting payments, giving change, issuing receipts, settling accounts/cash-ups, handling tips
- Basic knowledge of food & beverages (coffee, cake, simple beverage knowledge); advising guests
- Compliance with hygiene and quality standards (basic understanding of HACCP)
- Good written and spoken German; other languages an advantage (e.g., English)
Personal requirements
- Friendly, well-groomed appearance and genuine host/hostess mentality
- Stress resistance and ability to maintain an overview even when there are large numbers of guests
- Reliability and honesty (financial responsibility)
- Ability to work in a team, respectful communication, helpfulness
- Independent working style, clean and structured work
- Punctuality, flexibility (weekends/holidays depending on the work schedule)
Working style/understanding of quality
- Fast, accurate work without rushing (setting priorities)
- Service-oriented: actively asking questions, remaining attentive, resolving complaints professionally
- Order in the workplace (mise en place, cleanliness in the dining area and at the buffet)

- Barista skills / latte art
