Cooking pleasure at the Allgäuer Berghof

As Sous Chef, you will support the kitchen management in all operational and administrative tasks.

Our new culinary concept attaches great importance to regionality, sustainability and conscious enjoyment. We spoil our young and old guests with milk and cheese from the local alpine dairy, fruit from Lake Constance and sausage and meat specialties from the Allgäu.

In order to meet these demands, we have completely redesigned both our kitchen and our buffet area with front cooking and equipped it with the latest technology.

Requirements

Your tasks

  • Deputizing for the head chef in his absence, together with another sous chef, with responsibility for the smooth running of the day, including staff planning
  • Preparation and cooking of food for the all-inclusive catering for guests and employees
  • Responsibility for the proper storage of food
  • Compliance with HACCP guidelines
  • Incoming goods inspection and goods care
  • Daily management of employees
  • Training new employees
  • Supervision of trainees
  • Order management
  • Advising guests with intolerances

Your profile

  • independent and autonomous working style
  • strong communicator, independent and team player
  • good manners and a well-groomed appearance
  • Willingness to take on responsibility
  • initial experience in employee management
  • very good knowledge of German, other language skills are an advantage
  • Trainer aptitude certificate is an advantage
