Chef de Rang / Waitstaff with Cashier Duties (m/f/d)

📍 Location: Wedelhütteor Albergo—in the heart of the Hochzillertal ski area, Tyrol, Austria

📅 Season: December through April | 6-day workweek | 48 hours/ seasonal position 

🏨 2 boutique hotels with 5-star comfort| 26 and 16 beds, respectively | Daytime operations with high guest volume* 

🏠 Accommodation in the valley & meals provided during working hours

About us:

Our ski lodges are located at over 2,000 meters above sea level in the heart of the ski resort in the beautiful Zillertal— accessible exclusively by ski or snowboard. We combine alpine lodge charm with upscale service and place a high value on quality, hospitality, and warmth.

Requirements

YOU BRING

  • Professional Experience: Completed culinary training and several years of experience in upscale service—ideally in a comparable position— experience with Orderman
  • Expertise: In-depth knowledge of the restaurant industry, particularly in wine and food.
  • Service Orientation: Akeen sense of our guests’ needs and a strong commitment to service.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills in German and/or English, as well as the ability to keep a cool head even in challenging situations.
  • Team Spirit: Enjoy working as part of a team and have a motivating and supportive demeanor.
  • ProfessionalAppearance: Awell-groomed appearance and a confident, friendly demeanor.
  • Organizational skills: Excellent organizational abilities and an eye for detail.
  • Flexibility: Ability to handle stress and adapt, especially during peak hours or when high-alpine weather conditions change.
  • Commute: For winter sports enthusiasts, the commute can be made by ski or snowboard—including first and last runs on the empty slopes.

 

Your Responsibilities

  • Preparation, organization, and follow-up for the station (200 indoor seats, 500 outdoor seats) to ensure fast and efficient service.
  • Responsibility for ensuring smooth service operations at your station and close collaboration with restaurant management
  • Close collaboration with the kitchen, bar, and other service staff
  • Friendly service for guests (German, English): Even during the hectic lunch rush, you’ll keep track of your tables and serve guests from the moment they arrive until they leave—always with a friendly smile! 
  • Attention to guest requests: Ensuringhigh guest satisfaction through attentive and professional service —fromskiers to wine-loving guests
  • Complaint management: You’llforward guest feedback directly to our restaurant management and respond professionally in accordance with established guidelines
  • Menu & Wine Recommendations: Providing expert advice to guests on menu and wine selections
  • Hygiene & Safety: You ensure cleanliness, order, and compliance with all applicable regulations—day in and day out
  • Staff Management: Support and guide the assigned commis de rang, including onboarding, training, and supervision
  • Loyalty to the company / Discretion when interacting with guests

  • Meals during working hours & housing in the valley, prorated vacation pay & Christmas bonus
