Caretaker / Maintenance Technician (m/f/d)
Summer / Winter Season
Österreich, Tirol
Description
You're the kind of person who doesn't just stand by and watch, but rolls up your sleeves—and makes sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.
A hotel can only run smoothly if someone makes sure that the technology, building, and facilities are working reliably.
That's exactly why we need you.
At the Gaspingerhof ****Superior in Gerlos, we are looking for a versatile and reliable maintenance technician/caretaker who has good manual skills, works independently, and can keep everything under control—no matter how big or small the challenge.
You are an important part of our team, and your work helps ensure that our guests feel comfortable and that the hotel runs smoothly every day.
Here's what you can expect
You won't find a typical desk job here. Your day-to-day work will be varied and take you all over the hotel—from the guest rooms to our public areas, and on to the technical facilities and outdoor spaces.
You can identify where work needs to be done, come up with practical solutions, and roll up your sleeves to help out.
Your responsibilities will include, among other things:
- Performing minor repair, maintenance, and servicing work
- Maintenance and monitoring of our technical systems and facilities
- Resolving minor technical issues
- Inspection and Maintenance of Guest Rooms and Common Areas
- Performing minor electrical, plumbing, painting, and installation work within the scope of your skills
- Coordination and supervision of external contractors and specialized companies
- Assistance with deliveries, setup and takedown, and internal transport
- Maintenance and inspection of the outdoor areas surrounding the hotel
- Assistance with seasonal work and snow removal in the winter
- Regular inspections and early identification of necessary repairs
In short: You make sure our house runs smoothly, stays well-maintained, and that small problems don't turn into big ones.
What You Bring to the Table
You're good with your hands, interested in technology, and enjoy finding practical solutions.
Completion of a trade or technical apprenticeship is a plus—for example, as an electrician, plumber, mechanic, carpenter, or in a similar profession. However, what’s even more important to us is that you’re reliable, can work independently, and keep your eyes open as you move around the building.
Ideally, you should have:
- manual dexterity and technical understanding
- Work experience in a skilled trade or technical field
- an independent and solution-oriented approach to work
- Sense of Responsibility and Reliability
- careful handling of tools, equipment, and technical systems
- A willingness to step in wherever support is needed
- Enjoyment of a varied workday
- Team spirit and a friendly demeanor toward guests and coworkers
Why the Gaspingerhof?
Because good work requires the right conditions.
With us, you'll work in a family-like environment where teamwork, respect, and mutual support are a given. We value quick decision-making, working independently, and a positive team spirit.
