Description
Join our team as a chef—ideally starting in early July!
As part of your new role, you’ll provide attentive and empathetic service to guests at our 5-star hotel in Oberlech am Arlberg.
The minimum wage for our kitchen position is set by collective bargaining agreement:
€3,500 net per month for a minimum of 48 hours/6 days per week.
We’d be happy to discuss exactly how much higher your actual salary at Hotel Sonnenburg will be in person.
Requirements
You will fit in with us if you ..
- Speak German and English fluently.
- have completed training as a chef.
- have at least 3 years of professional experience as a chef.
- appreciate open, benevolent, critical and honest communication.
- are courageous, humorous and committed.
- are able to fulfill given goals and tasks.
- work well in a team, enjoy learning and teaching.
- have already had some experience with systemic leadership.
- Find onboarding and offboarding employees as important as we do.

What you can expect as a chef
- Leading and training the kitchen team with the support of the sous chef
- Responsibility for all goods requirements in the food area
- Hygiene responsibility according to HACCP standard
- Developing new dishes and concepts according to our F&B concept and company values
- independent training and further education
- Carrying out inventories and spot checks correctly, completely and on time
- Responsibility for the kitchen's technical resources
- Ensure that all dishes are prepared according to recipes, that these recipes are adhered to and that the recipes are recorded in the WAWI
- Determine workplace layout and work processes
- Optimize staff scheduling according to the employee budget
- Hold regular appraisal interviews with each employee in accordance with the specifications and document them
- Decide on the creation of new positions, define requirements and create job profiles (for all positions and functions in the kitchen)
