Assistant Manager (m/f/d)
Summer / Winter Season
Österreich, Salzburg, Region Obertauern
Description
Join our kitchen team in Obertauern!
For our family-run 4** Hotel Alpina**, we’re looking for a dedicated Sous Chef (m/f/d) starting in December 2026 to work alongside our Executive Chef in shaping the next phase of our kitchen’s development.
We combine classic hospitality with modern culinary processes. Together with Andreas Lechner and CoCo Cooking Concept, we’re developing a professional kitchen concept featuring clear recipes, structured production, and the highest quality standards.
As Sous Chef, you’ll work closely with our Executive Chef and be an integral part of our leadership team. You’ll help organize daily operations, support your team in their day-to-day kitchen tasks, and ensure that our guests experience consistently high quality every day.
In the winter, our two hotels— Hotel Alpina** and Alpina’s Beds & Boots***—work closely together. Food preparation takes place centrally at Hotel Alpina, while the dishes are finished and served at the second location. As a result, you can expect a modern work environment with clear processes, short decision-making chains, and a strong team culture.
If you enjoy taking on responsibility, work in a structured manner, and want to build something lasting together with a motivated team, we look forward to getting to know you.
Requirements
What You Bring to the Table
- Completed training as a chef, as well as several years of professional experience in the upscale hotel or restaurant industry
- Experience as a chef de partie or sous chef, and a desire to grow both professionally and personally
- A passion for high-quality, fresh cuisine and authentic culinary craftsmanship
- A structured, organized, and reliable work ethic
- A strong commitment to quality, hygiene, and responsibility (HACCP)
- Ability to handle pressure and a calm, solution-oriented work style—even in demanding service situations
- Team spirit, initiative, and a passion for achieving goals together
- Good German language skills for communicating within the team (knowledge of other languages is a plus)
Our Alpina Mindset
We’re not looking for a lone wolf or a “star chef,” but rather a team player who enjoys taking on responsibility and working in tandem with our executive chef.
You enjoy working within a clearly structured kitchen system, understand that standardized recipes and defined processes are the foundation for consistently high quality, and are eager to continuously develop your skills in a professional environment.
Together with our executive chef, as well as Andreas Lechner and CoCo Cooking Concept, we are constantly evolving our culinary offerings. Openness to new ideas, mutual respect, reliability, and a long-term partnership are just as important to us as technical expertise.
If you’re passionate about cooking, enjoy working as part of a team, and would like to be part of a modern culinary concept, we look forward to getting to know you.
