Description

We are a family-run 4-star hotel with 33 rooms in the heart of Obertauern—with a clear focus on quality, personalized hospitality, and a strong team.

To strengthen our front office team, we are looking for a dedicated receptionist / front office associate (m/f/d) for the 2026/2027 winter season.

You will work directly with our long-time head receptionist, Ms. Sandmann, who will be taking on additional responsibilities in the areas of reservations, marketing, and operations management in her new role as Operations Manager.

In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests and will handle a significant portion of daily front-office operations. Together with our team, you will ensure professional, warm, and seamless guest service—from check-in to check-out.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Welcoming and assisting our hotel guests
  • Check-in and check-out
  • Processing reservations and guest correspondence
  • Handling phone and email communications
  • Assisting with administrative tasks
  • Collaborating with the front desk, dining, kitchen, and housekeeping teams
  • Contributing to a professional guest experience throughout their stay

You’ll work in a manageable, well-structured environment with quick decision-making processes, direct guest interaction, and a motivated team.

Requirements

Your Responsibilities

  • Welcoming and assisting our hotel guests
  • Handling check-in and check-out
  • Processing reservations and guest correspondence
  • Communicating with guests by phone and in writing
  • Assisting with administrative tasks in the front office
  • Collaborating with the service team, kitchen, housekeeping, and management
  • Assisting in ensuring a professional guest experience throughout their stay

Your Profile

  • Professional experience at a hotel front desk or in a comparable position is a plus
  • Friendly, well-groomed, and professional demeanor
  • Enjoy interacting with guests and have a strong service orientation
  • A structured, independent, and reliable work style
  • Organizational skills and good time management
  • Very good written and spoken German
  • Good command of English; knowledge of other foreign languages is a plus
  • Proficiency with computer programs and a willingness to learn new systems
  • Ability to work in a team, resilience, and flexibility

For this position, we offer—depending on qualifications and experience—a net salary starting at €2,200 per month (6 days / 48 hours), with a willingness to pay above this rate for candidates with relevant experience and qualifications.
