Description

Around 500 people work at the Urstein Knowledge Park, and every day they look forward to a high-quality, healthy lunch in our bistro, among other places. The architecture of our modern bistro, with its inviting dining area and state-of-the-art kitchen, reflects both the urban vibe of the Knowledge Park and the natural surroundings of the nearby Urstein-Au. This spatial concept is reflected in the kitchen concept. Healthy food for hungry minds: Urban lightness paired with fresh, locally sourced ingredients promise an appealing, varied, and creative cuisine. Whether it’s a quick coffee to start the day, a good lunch, or a sweet treat in the afternoon—here, “hungry minds” will find exactly what they need.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • High-quality food preparation
  • Active participation in service, including food service
  • Further development of our concept of creative, plant-based fresh cuisine
  • Helping to shape the menu offerings (lunch menus, take-away, events)
  • Purchasing (using necta software—following training) and monitoring of food costs
  • Assistance in ensuring compliance with legally mandated hygiene regulations

Profile:

  • Completed vocational training as a chef with experience
  • Enthusiasm and motivation for preparing fresh culinary delights
  • Strong service and customer focus, as well as excellent communication skills
  • High level of commitment and reliable teamwork
  • Structured, independent, and efficient work style
  • Sense of responsibility for cleanliness, hygiene, and quality standards
  • Basic IT user skills (including POS system)
