Description
You lead people. You take on responsibility. You roll up your sleeves and get to work.
Your rhythm in the mountains—Holzhotel Forsthofalm, Leogang
Do you love working with people, building teams, and driving projects forward on your own? Are you not only at home in the office, but also feel right at home in the midst of hotel life?
Then the Forsthofalm might be the place for you.
We’re looking for anindependent, strong-willed, and hands-on individual who will be responsible for our human resources management, support the management team, and—when needed—actively participate in daily hotel operations and take on leadership responsibilities.
For us, it’s not just about what you plan, but above all, what you accomplish.
Tasks
Human Resource Management
- Independent organization and further development of the entire human resources department.
- Responsibility for recruiting, applicant management, onboarding, and employee retention.
- Supporting and assisting our employees across all departments.
- Conducting employee reviews, feedback sessions, and development discussions.
- Collaborating with department heads on scheduling, staffing needs, and team organization.
- Ensuring structured HR processes, personnel administration, and time tracking.
- Further developing our corporate culture and shared values.
- Identifying challenges and independently developing and implementing solutions.
Operational Responsibility – Hands-On Rather Than a Desk Job
- You’re an active part of the hotel’s day-to-day operations, know our processes, and are approachable to the staff.
- In the event of staffing shortages, absences, or special challenges, you’ll actively support operational areas.
- You’re ready to take on responsibility yourself at the front desk, in guest services, or in organizing day-to-day hotel operations.
- When needed, you’ll handle day-to-day operational coordination, lead staff, and ensure that everything runs smoothly.
- You’ll identify early on where support is needed, set priorities, and take the initiative.
- You support our department heads and ensure effective collaboration across all departments.
- You maintain a clear overview even in high-pressure situations and find pragmatic solutions.
You’re not just a manager—you’re part of the team.
Requirements
You know that good leadership doesn't come from a title, but from attitude, trust, and responsibility.
- You have several years of professional experience in the upscale hospitality industry, ideally in human resources and in a leadership role.
- You’re familiar with the day-to-day operations of a hotel and feel particularly confident in the front office, guest relations, and service.
- You work independently, in a structured and solution-oriented manner, and don’t wait for someone to tell you what to do.
- You have a strong hands-on mindset and enjoy implementing plans just as much as you enjoy creating them.
- You can inspire, motivate, and develop people, and you lead with empathy, clarity, and consistency.
- You communicate openly, respectfully, and engagingly, and can assert yourself even in difficult situations.
- You think like an entrepreneur, act cost-consciously, and have high standards for quality.
- You’re flexible and willing to take on responsibility even outside of traditional office hours when the situation calls for it.
- You have very good German and English language skills.
- You have in-depth knowledge of Austrian labor law as well as experience working with digital HR systems.
