Head Waiter (m/f/d)

Österreich, Oberösterreich

Description

At Poststube 1327, time-honored tavern tradition meets the spirit of the times. Austrian cuisine, regional roots, and genuine hospitality come together here with quality, character, and a keen sense for what makes a place special.

As a Chef de Rang, you’ll serve as a key point of contact for our guests and guide them through their visit with attentive and warm care. You’ll combine a professional approach to service with the personal touch and relaxed atmosphere that define a true tavern.

Together with the kitchen and service team, you’ll ensure that the cuisine, wine and beverage culture, and atmosphere all come together so that our guests experience the Poststube for what it is: a piece of tavern culture on Lake Traunsee that preserves tradition while also looking to the future.

What you'll be doing with us:

  • Managing Your Service Station Independently
  • Warm hospitality and personalized assistance for our domestic and international guests
  • Expert recommendations for dishes, as well as wine and beverage pairings
  • Close collaboration with our Head of Wine & Service, Kathi Gnigler, on the further development of beverage culture
  • Execution of all service procedures—from mise en place to billing
  • Ensuring a smooth, high-quality service process
  • Compliance with Our Quality and Hygiene Standards
  • Sharing Your Knowledge with Younger Team Members

What you bring to the table:

  • You already have several years of experience in the fine dining sector.
  • Additional qualifications in wine and beverage culture are a plus.
  • You stand out for your strong communication skills and enthusiasm for customer service.
  • You have a very good command of German and English.
  • A strong commitment to service, excellent manners, and a well-groomed appearance come naturally to you.
  • In this role, you will work independently and efficiently.
  • You identify with the philosophy of Gröller Hospitality and enjoy bringing our brand to life for our guests.

What to Expect:

  • Full board provided at work, even on your days off
  • Accommodations at our employee hotel by the lake, with a terrace and parking
  • Customized training and professional development opportunities to support your professional and personal growth; room to contribute your own ideas and actively shape the workplace
  • Regular employee events that strengthen team cohesion
  • Employee Benefits at Our Facilities: Working on Lake Traunsee—with a wide range of recreational activities right on your doorstep
  • A respectful and supportive team environment that embodies quality, hospitality, and camaraderie
