Description
Do you have technical knowledge, manual dexterity, and enjoy making sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes? At Gröller Hospitality in Traunkirchen, a position as a building technician or custodian (m/f/d) awaits you, offering a varied role with a great deal of autonomy. You’ll take care of our buildings, technical systems, and facilities, and you’ll be on hand when a quick and practical solution is needed.
Your workplace is as diverse as our hotels: from the multi-award-winning Das Traunsee—Das Hotel zum See, featuring the Michelin-starred restaurant Bootshaus, to the Post am See, named Gault&Millau Hotel of the Year 2026, with the Belétage and the Poststube 1327. Together, we ensure that everything runs smoothly behind the scenes and that our high standards for quality, safety, and sustainability are met from a technical standpoint.
What you'll be doing with us:
- Maintenance & Repairs: You will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance of our buildings, technical systems, and facilities, and will independently carry out repair and maintenance work.
- Technology & Safety: During regular inspection rounds, you ensure that our technical systems are functioning reliably and that all relevant safety standards are being met.
- Environmental Management: You’ll make a valuable contribution to our journey toward earning the Austrian Ecolabel—particularly in the areas of waste management, energy efficiency, and sustainable building operations.
- Operational Support: You’ll work across departments and, when needed, provide support with technical requirements related to events.
- Communication & Documentation: You ensure a smooth flow of information between departments and document relevant work, maintenance, and inspections.
What you bring to the table:
- Work experience in a skilled trade or technical field.
- Training or a qualification in electrical engineering, installation, building services engineering, or a related field is a plus
- Additional training, such as certification as a safety representative, fire safety officer, or comparable qualifications, is a plus
- Completed compulsory education
- An independent, structured, and responsible approach to work
- Willingness to work occasionally on weekends
- Good knowledge of German
- Class B driver's license
- A strong commitment to quality and responsibility
- A strong focus on guests and service, as well as polished manners and a professional demeanor
What to Expect:
- Full board provided at the workplace, even on your days off
- Accommodations at our employee hotel by the lake, with a terrace and parking
- Customized training and professional development opportunities to support your professional and personal growth; room for your own ideas and active involvement
- Regular employee events that strengthen team cohesion
- Employee Benefits at Our Facilities: Working on Lake Traunsee—with a wide range of recreational activities right on your doorstep
